I also ran the Charger SRT8 (Diablo tune, stat, CAI) at the track today, first time to do a burnout, the tach bounced the Rev limiter, and the check engine light came on, car lost all power. Pushed it out of the lane, turned it off, re cranked and power was back, light still on...after a few cycles of turning it off and on, the light went way, and did a couple or more runs, spun, but didn't hit rev limiter. After that, another run, and spun too much, hit limiter again, and same thing with the CEL coming on, lost power, etc.. WTF? Anybody have this happen and whats the fix? I have an older tune in it from Diablo, set the limiter as high as it allowed. Input anyone?

Even though this hasn't happened to me personally in my car, I've hit the rev limiter more than I like to admit. That's why I have the autostick upshift enabled. From what your describing, you car went into limp mode. I believe the car going into limp mode has more to do with the TCM than the PCM. I have my rev limit set at 6500 rpms and have never gone into limp mode as you describe. If your rev limiter is set higher than 6500rpms, then back it down some. With a stock heads, cam car like yours, theirs no need to let it shift higher than the 6400 rpms that the Predator will shift it at in Drive or with autostick upshift enabled. I believe if you back the rev limiter down to around 6500 rpms then you won't put the car into limp mode again.

Thanks! DO I need to reinstall stock tune before uploading new Diablo tune into my handheld and then in the car, or just upload onto diablo and take it out and put it in the car with current tune?

If your trying to update your Predator to a different version from Diablo's website, then yes, you'll have to put your stock tune back into your car to to this. If your only trying to change your rev limiter settings(or anything else that you can change) then all you need to do is go in and modify the tune currently in the car and then let it write the modified tune(with the changes you made) to your car. No need to put the stock tune back into the car when your only modifying one of the canned or even a CMR tune that's currently on your Predator.

I'd also update to the latest revision of DiabloSport's tune. Keep the old one on your PC.

I called and talked to Phil today, at Diablo, he was a great help. When I returned the stock tune to the car, I came in a uploaded the current update and the Diablo froze on a blank screen. I was stuck, tried everything, but he walked me through it...seems that I have an older version that wasn't compliant with the newest tune download, so I uploaded the older one still availible and it fixed the diablo. Now, gotta retune the Charger. I did read the CEL and it was a TCM code, I cleared it and there has been no issues . I guess hitting the limiter put her in limp like you guys said and now I gotta back down the shift point/limiter. Thanks for all the help!
