Have recently started bangin' off the sides of my Class II hitch.

I've owned the thing for almost two years and can't figure out wtf happened...It all started when I brought her into my 5 start to have the rear diff. replaced (nuff said?).

Should I just cut these mofo's off and be done with it? For those of you that have done it, what details are involved?
Did you have to fart around with new tailpipes or can they use the factory ones?

Does it sound better (anythings better than the cling-a-ling-thud that I'm getting now under hard acceleration and cornering....my girlfriend hates it, but my wife's fine with it as she never drives it)

cut the bastards out, get rid of the suit case and replace with some magna flow muffs and be sure to use 3" tubing from the muffler back. you will have no clearance issues with the hitch and it will sound badazz!!!

I did mine and the exhaust is def. louder now- I still have the suitcase muffler in place for now...it is a lil drony around 2500 RPMS and once the 3" pipes I put in place of these broke in after a few thousand miles, it just got better. My friend did it for me in his driveway- all in all about 40 bucks for materials (gas, piping, etc) and a 12 pack of beer...

Cut them off if you do not want the drone just get a set of hooker tips from summit. Make sure they are the resonating tips.
