You saw they wanted a road tax because people were not buying as much gas. Why? Because California said they must all start driving more fuel efficient cars...therefore less tax money. They got REAL geniuses running the show over there.

Not sure if it's in your area yet Mark, but they are talking about a new electronics tax that you have to pay at the time of your purchase which is 'supposed' to help cover the costs of disposal/environmental clean-up once it's ready to throw out. Makes everything upto 15% more expensive in some areas. Computers and the like carry the stiffest of these environmental fees. Honestly, will it ever end??!! Not sure Canada would be the place for any of you since they're talking about makinbg those energy saving spiral light bulbs law and getting rid of your regular ones that give off way better light. I can see it now, a black market for American smuggled light bulbs! Idiots.

This state is sooooooooo fucked up it's unbelieveable. I haven't looked into this latest bit of lunacy by our wonderful state legislature but I'm sure it's true, it's got to be. Something this assinine can only come from our brillant elected officials.

The state is in such dire need of money and so full of dirty politicians it's a total friggin mess!! There's no logic or reason going on at all in the state capital, it's all corupt bullshit. After this last budget crisis the state just endured I'm voting each and every incumbant OUT at every election I don't care who he's running against and I urge everyone everwhere to do the same in their own states.
