I received a letter from the local DMV and got the letter I've been waiting for...an auto renewel for 2 more years!!! Hell ya...Baby!!!!!!! That means I don't have to worry about my tint or trying to get it inspected for 2 more years. I don't care about the tint, but I'm alittle worried about trying to get through emissions. So a 2 year reprieve is nice. Has anyone out there gotten a H/C/I car with long-tubes on it inspected yet??? I know that the rear 02's will have to be turned on for the inspection and that's the biggest issue I believe that will give me problems. I've heard through the grapevine that this maybe fixed through tuning sometime soon, but its a touchy subject since messing with anything related to emissions has some legal reprocussions along with it.

I don't have mine until 2011. 5 years for all new vehicles. After that I'm fucked unless I find a friendly emissions shop lol.

but there was no sniffer involved, it was all visual stuff, blinkers, tires, windows, etc.

Well, that's the same for me also. I bought the car in 07' when it was a year old, but the dealer only gave me a 2 year tag. Now its 3 years old, but if I bought it new, I would've had a 5 year tag to begin with. I knew I should've gotten this letter, but until it finally came, I was alittle on edge!LOL

He's supposed to be working on cracking this code, but last I heard, he hasn't done it yet.

Steve thats one of the reasons I haven't done long tubes...if all the emissions stuff doesn't work, then I don't do it. I am a firm believer that we can make great horsepower using the Socialist State of California's insistence on CARB everything just to piss those SOB's off!

It's a shame cause it has nothing to do with the design, etc. of the long tubes, rather the effect(greater flow) that the rear 02's are seeing and throwing codes. The LT's shouldn't be affecting emissions that much, so once the PCM tables for the rear 02's can be changed to allow the higher flow, I think all should be well and the car will pass emissions testing.

Exactly....Then I will consider throwing on Longtubes, most likely Kooks like what you have.

Many states do not have emissions. Pretty cool.

I wish DE didn't test for emissions, cause I'd be running cat-less mids for sure!!!
