My 3year/36mo. warranty about to expire

Well, my 3/36 is about to expire mid Jan. of 09'. I haven't had my car dealer serviced at all since I've owned it since I've had all my oil changes done at HHP. I have had all the TSB work done which included the infamous coolant gunk,trans leak,sunroof rattle and trunk lid rubbing, etc. This means I've had the coolant replaced numerous times, the trans fluid has been flushed and filled and my oil changed. Does it make sense to take my car into the dealer and get them to do a full inspection of everything at my cost? What would you guys do?

You may want to check things like the tierods and alignment. This is my concern before the warranty is out. I've heard the tierods can go prematurely and your power steering pump and fan as well. Check on a couple other TSB's as well to see if you might be able to take care of them or look for signs that those particular things are wearing early and may act up soon. Check the ABS light thing though for sure.

I've had my car aligned awhile ago when I put my new tires on and have had both fans replaced this past year. The power-steering pump doesn concern me though. I've added fluid to it awhile ago, but haven't checked it in awhile. I've heard these tend to go so I'll check it soon. The ESP/BAS light hasn't come on again so I'm not sure what that was.

Go for the Chrysler Max Care warranty extension...I just passed 36K myself, and I have the warranty extension to 8 yrs/85 K miles.

I don't think they'll warranty much of anything in my car though, especially the drivetrain. I guess I could call, but I think I already know the answer that'll get.LOL

If you dont mind driving to a Mod Friendly SRT mechanic on LI, everything will be warrantied...

Its totally worth it...it coveres everything down to the hood struts and interior speakers!

Sounds good...Its tough to find a good mechanic willing to even look at your car despite mods.

This was mostly an issue with the SRT8's in the 06 and early 07 model years. Basically a white gunky substance could be seen floating around inside of the coolant resevoir and if left alone for awhile would actually stick to the insides of the coolant bottle and if it got bad enough would start blocking up the water passages inside of the engine block. There's a TSB for this, but I can't tell you off my head what it is. If you have a 5.7 then I think you're ok. The TSB consisted of flushing the coolant system and replacing the coolant bottle and cap if necessary. I had to have my system flushed a couple of times before all that crap cleared up.

Steve, I doubt even Kirkwood would warranty anything, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Tracy and Steve work at Kirkwood Dodge during the day. I've had my car there once...they did my brakes. I agree though...I don't think anyone would warranty my drivetrain with major engine mods like mine.

Afterwards...got it when she had 27K on her...now im at 36ish...I got it for cost since my friends Dad owns a dealer by me...paid 1,100 OTD...got one HELL of a deal on it.
