What do I use to edit Video / HD Video?

I have a Sony HD video camera (HRD-SR1) I have owned it for two years. Now here is the funny part... Today was the first time I was able to get the software to work to get the video and pictures out of the damn thing.

Now that I have all the HD video's what is the best software to edit? For the most part I want to cut out some of the crap and hopefully join other files to make 1 decent video. Any help would be appreciated.

Yea, I have always not had this camera either. And always never gotten to be able to edit and post stuff. So help him out and make us some suggestions. Please, for his sake.

Hey Bri, I have Roxio's Easy Media Creator you can have. It's fairly easy to use as well and also copies CDs/DVDs.

I always feel you get what you pay for... Now that I think about it, our last MMF site was using free software :eek: Enough said!!

Thanks Milan, Downloading Creator 2009 now. Wilson dropped of a few video's from yesterday, so I want to run em through the new software and post them.
