Well, it came in and it is on!

What do you think. I hope you like it cause it costs me dearly :pounding table:

You can't just buy it on ebay. You have to buy a certain number of products from Dinan that are assigned a point value. Once you achieve 10 points,
the badge is free.

The car now reminds me of the "Lorinser" AMGs I see every once in a great while.

To me........it signifies that THIS IS NOT YOUR NORMAL M6

It is an illusion due to the way the deck lid is shaped. I put a level on it. Meh, I won't be screwing with it.

lol @ the lisence plate. thats awesome, but dinan sounds like a bunch of stuck up pricks if you dont rate to buy their damn badge. i do see the point of it though, keeps people from ricing out bm's.

I agree Markus. It's just a marketing scam. I will say the beast will flat out run and carve canyons with the best of em.

Pretty slick, Curtis...the amazing part is that you're gonna let all the road salt start delaminating them next winter!!!
But who could blame you for wanting to keep your M as a DD.

There's nothing wrong with having the Dinan badge on it...hell, its a badge of honor among BMW enthusiasts to have this! For us LX guys...it just signifies all the damn money you've dumped into that baby! Congrats bro!

Thanks brothers. I figure it will also gather a few more challenges from the ferraris and lambos, etc that normally wouldn't give me the time of day. :)

I don't know how much he has left...I mean, will he get the headers? (ok, he will) but will he get a stroker? Do the heads really need anything else? Ugh.

Ha! One step ahead of you boys. The 5.7 just went on sale for a 30m plus 5m in labor.
May have to ship the vehicle to CA though.

High Performance 5.7 Liter V-10 Engine
For those seeking the ultimate high performance driving experience, Dinan has once again redefined M5 and M6 performance with a bored and stroked 5.7 liter version of BMW’s V-10 engine. The engine produces over 600 horsepower along with stump-pulling torque that exceeds 400 lb-ft from just 3000 rpm right to 8100 rpm. As incredible as BMW’s V-10 is in stock form, just imagine the acceleration that results from an additional 126 horsepower @ 5800 rpm and 116 lb-ft torque @ 5600 rpm*! Equally impressive is the fact that all of this performance is available without sacrificing BMW-like drivability or the peace of mind that comes from matching new car warranty coverage for up to 4 years or 50,000 miles.

Dinan’s 29 years of BMW tuning and racing experience ensure that the engines will not only perform but also provide years of trouble free driving excitement. Much of the technology that has made Dinan’s Grand-Am Daytona Prototype engines both competitive and reliable has carried over to the 5.7 Liter V-10 engine program for the street, ensuring that the engines produce incredible power along with race-proven durability. Each engine is dyno-tested prior to shipment, verifying power output in the same rigorous manner employed for the Daytona Prototype racing engines.

The engine is supplied as an assembled long-block, fully prepared to directly replace the stock engine without modification. Maximum performance is achieved when the engine is equipped with the optional High Flow Air Mass Meter Assemblies, High Flow Throttle Bodies and Free Flow Mufflers, producing an incredible 611 hp @ 7500 rpm and 468 lb-ft torque @ 6000 rpm. For those seeking ultimate performance from their M5 or M6, without sacrificing civility, reliability or warranty coverage, the Dinan 5.7 Liter V-10 is the definitive solution.

One thing that doesn't compute is that 11.9!!! How could it do a 3.8 second 0-60, trap at 124.8 but yield an 11.9 ET??

This is on street tires too. With some DR's, even on your car as it sits...it'd be race over.

I think your forgettin something....... I got the 3.91 rear end.

Another thing to consider is my car will get to 200mph very quickly.

We can put drag radials on both car and do the quarter.
Then I race you to 200 mph plus.

Haha...I don't think I have a chance as your car sits now IF you were to put some drag radials on it. And remember, with my Drag rims, the car technically behaves like it has a 3.55
