Hello all, I have a 05 Magnum R/T AWD 5.7 and am looking for info on mods for it and am looking for some stock tires. I would appreciate any advice to better my ride with power and braking, gotta keep some MPG's due to traveling allot between hospitals. Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the MMF brotha! Glad you could make it over. I know a hell of a lot of R/Ts that would wipe the floor with some SRT's so there's a lot you can do. To start, I'd consider purchasing the DiabloSport Predator, a cold air intake (check out some of our vendors here for good prices and services) and perhaps a freer flowing catback exhaust. All of these mods will not have an adverse affect on mileage and many say that fuel efficiency is definitely improved. Start there first and I think you'll be very happy with the results. Some people have removed their stock resonators and left the rest of the catback intact because catbacks can be pricey. Nowadays, you can purchase an excellent catback for less than 600 bucks and a very high quality one used and with low mileage for less. Hope this helps!

welcome into MMF....alot of Mopar Heads in here with some damn quick stuff to help ya out for sure.....

the hand held tuner is purchase number 1 for sure.....as you make more power and torque it takes less throttle to achieve the same effect and you will find it gets BETTER MPG tuned and slightly tweaked....there is always that point beyond better MPG but it seems for what your goals are you'll find the mods will pay for themsleves over time with improved MPG....

glad to have you step in....

I agree with Milan...but I'd also get a 180 thermostat to go along with the Diablo Predator. Heatsoke is a major HP killer in the Hemi engine so its best to keep it cool. You can control the fan-on temps with the Predator to take full effect of the 180 tstat. Oh...and welcome to MMF!

Here are the mods I have done so far; JBA shortie headers, JBA hi-flo mids, JBA catback w/Zoomers tips, AirHammer intake and a Predator. I noticed right from the start more power and my fuel economy increased (even with my spirted driving). In the summer (winter L/100km sucks due to using my remote start) I get high 10's-low 11's L/100km with daily driving. Even lower on (9's) when on long trips. Before the mods I was low to mid 12's L/100km. I did the full JBA system for just over the cost of some of the catbacks out there. Keep an eye for deals and used items. The more you save on 1 item the more items you can buy!! Future performance mods include; BT catch can, 180* tstat and cam w/CMR dyno tune. I never got the car dynoed or ran the 1/4 before the mods but based on other peoples numbers my car has some good gains. My best ET so far is 13.829 sec and that was with a full tank of gas and my heavy ass 20's on the car. :racing:

If your worried about heat soak you can also go ahead and get a good set of thermal intake spacers :)
