My question is why the two guys that brought the Uzi to the show were indicted, seems like they didn't have much to do with the whole thing, or am I missing something. I admit I'm not to familiar with gun laws and such.

I know a lot of you guys love your guns and grew up with them and stuff...but, imo..it's fuckin idiotic to have an 8 year old even at the site. The two other men were charged because it was their gun and should have ensured control and the safety of anyone around it. Now, a little kid lost his life because of the clear negligence of others.

I remember when this came out. Supposedly the kid had fired many guns prior to that with the supervision of the father. The guy with the license that was monitoring the discharge of the weapon he was standing right there as well. I don't mind a kid getting an education in firearms or even shooting them for that matter. However, I do believe the first time he fires any weapon? The dad or instructor needs to be behind this kid with their hands over his making sure something like this doesn't happen.
What a sad loss over neglect.....

That's the thing. They "assumed" he could. The father owns several guns and the kid has shot everything from shotguns, to rifles and hand guns. This was his first attempt at a fully auto weapon and fatally his last.

Unfortunately, that's like saying the kid has driven everything from a skateboard to a four wheeled ATV....here's a Ferrari, go for a ride....

I'm gonna stir the fires whether anyone likes it or not (it is my thread, lol) ... forget blaming everyone else, yea they all had a part in it but as a parent I can truthfully say ... IT'S ALL THE PARENTS FAULT!! Who in their right minds lets their 8 year old son handle an automatic machine gun?!?! I don't care how much experience he has (which is a scary thought) or how safe the enviroment is, it's not right.
