Ok, I have to go back and modify the Fans again.
I didn't change the parameters with the AC Off. Stupid me.
Immo posted these settings a while back like years back:
Use these settings:
ac off
High MPH HS 226.39
High MPH LS 217.39
High MPH MS 226.39
Low MPH HS 228.39
Low MPH LS 217.39
Low MPH MS 226.39
ac on
HS 226.39
LS 217.39
MS 226.39
My question is, should i just reload the 93 CAI tune and let the Predator reset the fan settings? to what Diablo recommends? With the lower temp stat is that recommended?
I set the "AC On" Settings for my car at:
HS 195.16
MS 195.16
LS 185.16
Need input please.

The settings from IMMO are essentially the stock factory settings. Everyone will have different settings to a varying degree. It just boils down to where you want to try and keep the motor temps at and how much you want the fans running. I've had both of my fan motors replaced so I would suggest that you find a happy medium between engine temp and fan motor life. Try and keep the high-speed fan from running all the time...and from the high-speed fan setting of 195...you'll be ok. I have my low-speed fan coming on at 189 and my high-speed fan coming on at 194.
With these settings, my high-speed runs occassionally in the warm weather when I'm gettin' on the gas...in the winter time, It'll rarely even come on unless I'm really beatin' the snot of the car. The low-speed fan will run pretty constantly in the warm weather. Now in the winter time, it will shut off at times if the engine temps go down below 183 degrees. Basically, once the fans come on, they won't turn off until the engine temps have fallen at least 6 degrees. So, if you have your low-speed fan set at 185, it'll never shut off with a 180tstat. I'd suggest you up the low-speed fan setting to at least 187 or 188 so the low-speed fan will shut off at times when its cool out...meaning winter time.
Also....you don't have to put the PCM back to stock to make any changes with the Predator. Just plug in the Predator, select the tune you have in the car, select to modity it and then let it rewrite to the car. That's it...your done!

Thanks Steve I can up the setting a few degrees then. Since our weather is pretty similiar I will follow your settings. I just want the car to run normally and be efficient etc. (you know what I mean)...
I can probably up the LS to 189-190 and the HS to 199-200 for that matter...just as long as everything works in harmony I am fine.

I would up the low-speed fan from your 185 to at least 189 and leave the high-speed fan in the mid 190's. You don't want the engine temps staying in the 190's cause your starting to get into heat soak. You can actually run higher fan settings in the winter time if you like since the cool air will help keep temps down. From what I've seen, it seems that higher IAT temps have more to do with how the car performs than engine temps....as long as their in the mid 190's or below. So when its warm and humid outside...my engine temps can be in the mid 180's, but the hot outside air is making the IAT much higher, thus the PCM is pulling timing. Obviously humid air will affect things also.

Ok cool. Thanks Steve.
I will change it from 185 to 189 and leave the 195 where it's at. Just have to do both On AND off...which i did not. I am going home early today so I will make the change in the parking lot before I head out so I can see how it drives on the way home.

Ok got that done before I headed out today. SWEET. Now I have 189 on LS and 195 for MS/HS in both categories or as near to that as I could get. :-)

Good boy!!!:D J/K This has worked pretty well for me and I haven't lost any fans since running this combo. When I lost the high-speed fan, I think I had it set to 187 or something like that and it ran constantly all summer long. A few months after the summer it died. I think the low-speed fan running fairly constantly is ok, just not the high-speed one.LOL I learned from that mistake. When I lost my low-speed fan, the fan blade itself was cracked and it seized up against the fan shroud, so it didn't die from running from lower fan settings. Just thought you should know. Don't be afraid to make changes to the settings...I've had my Predator for over 2 years know and have made quite a few to find what works best overall for me as far as engine temps go and how much the fans are running.

Thanks Steve...you mentioned Rev Limiter I didn't touch that and I didn't touch the shift firmness...Did you modify the shifting?
I will keep an ear open for the fans...but if I am running very close to the same numbers I think I will be good.

I believe you select 'Raised Shift Points' under the trans settings which should then automatically raise the rev limiter accordingly. Some of the different predator versions of the past you had to manually adjust the rev limiter to at least the raised shift points for the Predator. The Raised shift points will be 6400rpms on all shifts. The shift firmness is for the 5.7 cars and you can't select that for a 6.1...won't allow you. Quick question...do you ever use the extended EVIC screens on your car??? If not, you'll probably want to. There's one screen that I keep up in the EVIC display that shows actual engine rpms, engine temp, battery voltage and a small digital MPH display. You access the extended EVIC by holding down the Musical note and the compass buttons simultaneously on the steering wheel for about 8 seconds, then the screens come up. You can go through the various displays by pressing either the up or down arrows on the steering wheel controls. I use this display all the time and once up, it'll stay there each and every time you turn off/on the car unless you press one of the other buttons like the musical note, which will put you back in the normal EVIC displays. Try it out and you'll see what I'm talking about.
