New season of Top Gear!

I absolutely LOVE this show, I used to hate it and all their british snobery (and anti-american spewings) but ... I've come to really enjoy it, they crack me up the stuff they do. This show gets a big two thumbs up from me! New season started last night on BBC America.

It took it a while to grow on me but it finally did, I really like it, it's funny, and you get used to their british-isms. Watch some of the older episodes if you can, they're on all the time. Hey it's better than the boring "autoweek" car shows we got here.

But ive grown to liking it. He may be a dick sometimes but man can he drive.

Brian, you should watch it..I think you'll like it once you get past their Hatin' on most American cars thing. As Tony says, I hated it when they were unfairly evaulating the 300 against a car twice it's price but it does get pretty interesting. Those Brits know how to get some car guys riled up though hehehehehe.

They do case on other makes too, not just American and it's actually not that often (I've seen every episode going back a few years now). It's the funny stuff they do that cracks me up (racing motorhomes, paving roads, making boats out of cars, etc.), we are talking about entertainment here. Besides, any show with a guy that car drive like The Stig gets my vote!!

Go to www.corny.org and type in Top Gear season 12 and they will all come up. Episode six (aired last sunday) has awesome review of new Ford Fiesta in it (starts at 49 minutes). They do the standard tests and then chase it with a corvette inside a mall and then use it as an amphibious landing craft w/ the Royal Marines. Quite funny.

I dig some of the challanges they do on the show. Last episode I saw the crew did a 1300+ mile race. 2 guys flew, took ferries, and boats - and Clarkson did the 1300 miles in a MB SLR. The SLR won.

Totally! I think my fav episode so far wasn't a funny one, it was the one where they each picked a lightweight sports car to go looking for the best road in the world. GT3, Gallardo and an Aston, that was some GREAT stuff!! The sounds, the pictures ... they really know how to make cars look good on film.

Its just an act. Did you see him drooling and laughing when his Ford GT arrived. He waited almost 2 years to get the thing. You cant hate "dumb, lazy american horsepower" and then buy a GT! The GT he claims is his ultimate dream car.

Yea, the Aston was out of place, it was a race car set up for the track (gears and all), not for street use. There's another car that would have fit in PERFECTLY if they could have waited a bit or got ahold of a pre-production version ... the Ferrari F430 Scudderia (spelling?). They just tested it on the season premier episode Monday and it rocks, would have been a perfect fit with the other two for that "best driving road in the world" episode. Especially in bright red.

Well don't tell Stevo but they just spent not one but TWO episodes on the GT-R and they love it!! Pretty damn cool car if I do say so my damn self!
