while on my way to a funeral in Indiana I went to pass a truck that was doing about 40 mph. It usually helps when people use turn signals. I clipped the side of his truck and ended up hitting a steep ditch. I thought for sure I'd knocked some teeth out. My girlfriend has 3 rods in her back from a previous surgery and was in severe pain. So I'm at the hospital right now waiting to leave. My truck is totally fucked but atleast we both walked away without any injuries. They just gave her a bunch of morphine after the xrays and cat scan. I'll try to post some pics of my adventure. The caddy is a very solid truck!!

We are doing alot better. I finally made it back to work yesterday. My girlfriend still has back pain, having 3 rods fusing her back together is causing her some pain. The woman who works at the body shop guessed that the truck had 5-6 thousand dollars worth of damage. I was thinking 15-20 myself. The adjuster called me last night and said they are already up to $20,000!!! I hit the ditch so hard that it destroyed the frame.. Doesn't really look all that bad, the side of the truck is messed up as well.

I dont know what Ohio is, but for WI to total a vehicle, it has to exceed 75% of the vehicles current fair market value before they will consider it totalled. That's somewhat common from what I hear across the country, but again, it could be different for you. Check into that, then you have some form of guide to see where you are at.

My truck is actually at my Dodge dealer. They said that anymore new parts can be price matched to aftermarket parts anyways. Thats the last thing I need... a Ford F-150 fender on my truck!! The guyat the shop is saying my truck books for @ $49,000!! Crack-smoker!!

Almost 3 months after the wreck and close to 25 grand worth of repairs I got my truck back!!! I had it for a whopping 30 minutes before I traded it in on my SRT8 Challenger.
