I'd say go for it Curtis...you know you want to. The only stipulation is this...if your build it, freakin' keep it!LOL That set-up should make for a high 10 car, so what else could you want power wise.

Nothing really. I completely agree.
I do have a itching to build some sort of project like an
old school nostalgia hot rod.

So the V would be kept and enjoyed

curtis, ive known you for almost 2 years and you're on your 3rd car. all of which were modded. i say make a project car. of course the v was made to be modded, especially with that blower. tough call but get a 32 ford or a 69 camero and mod the crap out of it

You already know my vote. I was talking to Graham last time I saw him and he said he had some plans for their shop V. Apparently the heads don't really flow that well due to the defelctors in the ports and the cam is REALLY small.

I think you need to do the 427 upgrade ;-)

I do not follow your comment about the 427 upgrade. Please explain.

What would you do Wilson? I am all ears.

427 upgrade is a 427 Stroker (7.0L) setup. Pretty popular with the GM guys. LPE does an LS7 based setup for Camaros and Corvettes with the Magnuson TVS2300 blower that runs 750hp on pump gas. Not sure how much airflow the stock TVS1900 blower on the CTS-V will support though. Upgrading to the TVS2300 blower from a ZR1 could be pretty expensive.

IMHO, a Cadillac should always be a Cadillac. It needs to idle decent and drive well no matter what. Don't let anyone talk you into a high hp setup just to have a number. I know LPE has plans to test some cams, heads and additional pulley upgrades for more boost. If you are going after 650rwhp, I would think you could do that with headers, ported heads and a decent cam. When are you looking at doing your mods?

I can wait. Jeff has been great to me at LPE and I would love it if they would come up with an additional engine package for the 09 V...

Curtis, that will be one hell of a car! I know a lot of people are saying to make sure you keep it, but if building a car, getting rid of it and building a new one makes you happy...then why not, as long as it is not hurting your marriage or breaking you...just my thoughts!

^^^Very cool Camaro! I had a 69' Camaro SS about 15 years ago and have always loved that body style. If I had the money to do a resto mod for one of these I'd be in heaven!

Interesting head trickery on that beauty. Wow.
It'd be important to me after investing that much into a resto-mod that it no longer continued to drive like a meat truck.
That, IMO, is where the CTS-V would excel - with it's modern engineering that would allow you relax while driving at 150 mph...69 Camaro? Not so much.

Johnny--2k

Very true! In the description, it says the suspension is all custom, so I would think that it should drive more like a modern car vs a "meat truck" lol...

for $500,000 it better. I can think of a lot of 500k cars I'd rather have.
Anyway, she's beautiful. I'd prefer a 71 cuda myself.

You've got good taste Curtis. The 71 Cuda is also one of my all time favorites. I love the vents on the fenders and the front grille.

X2 C. I know you're a law abiding citizen and have been holding off on tiniting because it's illegal in Illinois to do the front windows, but TODAY the laws in Illinois changed! Next time i see you driving, I hope I can't see you through the front windows! No more excuses!
