Hey Marcus! Welcome aboard.
Have you seen the 2010 Z? It's a great looking car. Pretty much a Baby version of the MKS. I work at a Lincoln dealership, the Z is a great car for the $$$ for sure, we sell them like crazy!

Yea Lincoln is selling the Zs pretty damn cheap.
I want the 2010 MKZ but I also want my next car to be fast like an SRT8  But due to were I live I have to have a usable AWD system. I think that i'm just going to have to wait until/if Ford turbocharge the new MKZ.

That would be awesome but have you driven a Jeep SRT8?

Ding,ding,ding...we have a winner. Jeep should be pretty decent with the AWD in the snow and ESP on. Does anyone have a pic of the new Z you guys are talking about? I haven't seen one.

We got a massive dump of snow last week. I had to push a neighbour in her mkz down the road as she got it stuck (obviousely not the AWD). I parked the jeep in the middle of the street, pushed her back into her driveway and got going again easy. The SRT8 cherokee is definately a very usuable performer.

Nope I'm a virgin to the Jeep SRT8. But I do want to drive it just to feel the power of the 6.1.

The SRT8 wouldnt last a day in the snow here. I wouldn't trust the AWD system on that due to the fact that it really isn't a true active AWD system. The tires on there is worst (in the snow) than my cars tires and i'll be damned if I winter tires on any SRT8 with that much power. My moms 4WD Nitro got stuck in this stuff but my car just drove though it with ease. If I were to get a Jeep I would get a WK with the 5.7L and mod it up like Mario did so I can run 14s on it.
Heres the pictures of the 2010 MKZ (http://www.lincoln.com/2010mkz/default.asp?intcmp=B_promobanner1_LincolnHome_MKZR EVEALHOME_20081119)

If the Jeeps the only model you'll consider, that's one thing...but I tell ya, the traction control of my LX MSRT8 was great last winter with all seasons but is now phenomenal with my Michelin X-ice winters.
Biggest problem? the car sits so low that it's occasionally a snow plow. Like Attica, we know snow!

Lol anything over 7 inches on my car and I'm a snow plow. I there is NO WAY I can get a RWD car. I live on a dirt road and after it snows and gets plowed, the snow is just packed in there and turns into ice. That wouldn't be a problem but my drive way is on a steep hill. My bothers FWD HHR has a very hard time up there. A UPS man had to be towed out of our driveway because his van couldn't do it. When I get home, I'm going to take a few pics of my driveway so you can see what i'm talking about.

They may put the ecoboost into the Z. I know it's going into the S and many others for sure.
gasoline-turbocharged-direct-injection (GTDI) engines: All of Ford's GTDI engines will eventually be flex-fuel, although the first 3.5L won't be at launch. The variable boost control and variable valve timing will allow for greater control flexibility and allow the engines to get closer to parity on mileage and have improved performance when running on ethanol as well.
One of the other major advantages of EcoBoost is that it provides efficiency benefits at under all driving conditions, not just urban stop and go or just highway. The GTDI V-6 in the MKS will be rated at approximately 340hp and 340lb-ft of torque when it's introduced, which puts it well past either the Volvo 4.4L V-8 or Ford's own 4.6L. In the transverse engine configuration of the MKS, the transmission and the rest of the drivetrain are actually the limiting factor in performance. When the GTDI V-6 goes into longitudinal configurations like the Explorer, it will be able to have an even higher output.
