I like the GTR just because of the interior.

But the ZR1 is yummy delicious... I don't know if I like it more than my Z06 though... but the power is very impressive!

I'd rather have the 599GTB....... but that's just me. It was the second fastest. Problem is with the ZR1 is....... it's still a Vette. The Ferrari is just pure Auto Porn. Don't get me wrong guys..... Ferrari GTB $302K, Porshe GT2 $132K, ZR1 $103K...., GTR $75K. All the guys I know who've dumped at least 25-30K into there SRT8's (426, blower, half shafts, tires, catbacks, tunes, etc) are getting around the same quarter miles times (:puke:) as the GTR, and are still NO where near the handling, braking capabilities as the GTR (:ROTFLMAO:) The GTR a piece of shit? Hardly!!

Don't get me wrong....I absolutely love my Charger. But, I've also had it in the shop numerous times for tranny leak, rotor scoring, 1-2 shift hesitation, trunk lid issue, coolant gunk, pedal adjustment not working, head liner falling down, power steering pump failure) With all this, I still don't think my cars a piece of shit. I'm sure anyone who doesn't own an SRT8 who reads this will think otherwise. I'm amazed at all the "Grease" style territorial wars about the model of a car. Kinda funny in my opinion! Ironic that we come on here and beat our chests and if we saw the same folks we talk shit about in a grocery store parking lot we'd be like "nice car bro". After I submit this I'll read the "forum borum" in my sig so I don't take myself too seriously! LOL

The reason I'd take it even over the Ferrari, is exactly because of the fact that "it's still a Corvette." It's rock and roll, it's FUCKING AMERICAN, and it's kicking ass over waaaaaay more expensive cars. It's a classic american auto icon, but in GOD-FUCKING-ZILLA format!!!!! From the engine to the brakes, nothing in America can even wave a finger at the ZR1.....and even most exotics......

Hey Rick keep in mind ALL cars have issues like that, from Honda to Porsche, it's not just american. Our Odyssey is a pos in my opinion, for the same price as my MSRT8 it's not NEARLY as nice or well put together and has had and still does have numerous "issues", and Honda doesn't do tsbs like others, you gotta fight them tooth and nail ... and the car is STILL under warranty!! MB, Audi, Infiniti, my dad's new Jag, my grandpa's new Lexus, they ALL have issues, imo as long as the manufacturer stands behind their product and fixes them for free (most of those you listed are TSBs no or were repaired under warranty??) than you can't really complain too much, cars are the most intricate and involved product in the world to produce, there's bound to be problems.

And btw the Porsche GT2 isn't 132K, it's 192. The GT3 RS is 125K and the regular GT3 is 110. Just fyi, I get your point tho.:D

There was a GTR at my local track this past weekend for a Super Car shootout thing. It looked stock. Stock wheels, stock exhaust - and was extremely quiet, but I certainly don't know for sure. The this thing made like 3-4 passes, the times I saw were from 11.3x - 11.5x.

I think they'd be cool if they weren't so overly and falsly hyped from the beginning, starting with the ringer that was brought the Nurbergring. It's physically impossibly based on the weight to horsepower ratio alone that it could make those times...Kiss my ass if you say "but it's got AWD" HAHAHHAHAHaa....Even the die hard AWD guys know AWD is pointless with a talented driver on a road course.

..and secondly because of the expense reasons. This is a clear example of a car that has been gone through by the bean counters to compromise everything the original engineers had intended as it's use to meet a marketing price line. I feel sorry for them. You know they cringe every time a tranny breaks. Ironically bean counters usually destroy American cars yet we see SRT8's running 10's with the stock trans and rear's. It's clearly apparent that the Nissan transmission is absolute shit considering guys in SRT8's (with heavier curb weights) making 800+RWTQ are able to launch 1.6's without breaking anything (ok, half shafts be damned, they're still a sight better cheaper then even the maintenace required on the GTRet@rd. Hell, guys who own STi's and Evo's with way more RWTQ and HP are able to not break their shit...

...and it's still overpriced.
