I'd like to see the back end on the SRT version because it does kind of fill up the area between our existing tails.... But god no! on the front end abomination.

The rear and 3/4 rear view are gorgeous...but the front leaves some to be desired.

That said, this is a guess and nothing more...an informed guess, sure...but still only a guess. My hope would be that they would take the same front end and tone it down, maybe with smaller grille angles and smaller grille/headlights. When they toned down the 2008 Magnum SRT8, it looked MUCH better.

I find it interesting that they speculate that there will no longer be a v8 available, and instead a twin turbo v6 putting out 400hp. I doubt this, but we'll see. It will be nice to have the improved base 280+hp v6 standard (perhaps more hp with DI) and an improved auto at some point in the future.

Nice too that there won't be a 2.7 poisoning the well...

But as far as them speculating no v8's, I'm fairly certain we'll see 6.4 v8's in the top SRT version.

I dig the caboose and what appears to be a deeply sculpted hood. Front is kinda neutral IMO but the side panel swoosh is a bit over the top for my liking.

I love the swoosh personally...that and the front hood harkens back to the 68-70 chargers. Doesn't copy, but certainly invokes their memory.

I'm not diggin' the front, but the rear looks pretty damn good. I'm still like the original concept car from 1999 and wish they would make that, except for alittle change in the front grille.

I agree with PV, the sides could use some refinement but it does ring a retro bell with the 68-69's. I bet if they took out the black part with the ram logo in the back and color matched it, that back end would be hot. Also, the SRT version might have a lower and slightly higher front clip that may offset the size of that grill because the headlights don't bother me one bit. I can't see them going with a V6 when they have V8's already made and even a hybrid Hemi in development stages....<<only what I've read though. The 392 is on shelves already though so it doesn't seem like stretch at all to have one dropped in to an SRT model, hopefully with a 6 or 7 speed automatic as well as the 6 speed manual. That'd be cool.

As far as the front or rear looking like *insert camaro or mustang here*, I'd disagree...look at the previous '99 concept and clearly it follows the lead of that...and of course, that came out LONG before either the camaro or mustang.

If anything, the rear of THIS charger is more true to the 68-70 models than the mustang is to it's 67-70 (although it's pretty close too), or the the camaro is to it's 67-69 camaro (which is different enough).

Are these pics actual pre-production or are these still an artist's redition of what the 2011 Charger is going to look like? I'd like to see an SRT version of this car though. I really don't care for plain jane Chargers currently and never even considered an R/T. The only model to me that looked really good and mean, is the SRT8. That's why I bought it!

I like it....except maybe move the grill up a LITTLE bit...the hood and sides are killer...and the rear looks like a cross between a Saleen Stang and a Vette....nicely done overall...

It doesn't look like a Charger or Dodge for that matter without the cross-hair grille. If you really look at the front grille in this rendering...it looks like a GT500.

I like that version's front end ALOT better. A bit reminiscent of the Grip body kit and we know Chrysler isn't afraid to copy off the aftermarket if Legmaker's rims and their subsequent use of the style on the Superbee's is any indication.

What gives me even greater confidence in the allpar.com photo is the Dodge emblem. Notice it's not a Ram? That's because the ram will no longer be the dodge logo as it moves over to the RAM brand.

Though I doubt that the logo that's on the allpar version there now will be the new logo, if you look closely, it's an exact copy of the Dodge logo from the 50's, 60's, 70's and into the early 80's.

How do I REALLY feel? I feel that auto manufacturers are fucking idiots! Thats how I really feel! Look at the success of the new Challenger, Camaro, Mustang. Then tell me that a retro of the same caliber of the most popular Charger (2nd gen) wouldn't sell well.

Yup, I'd say that was the best version I've seen there in orange. Needs a wee bit of sprucing up in the rear with the tails and perhaps some sort of spoiler...one that's different than the existing design..maybe an upward slope or something subtle.
