Hello everyone. Need some advice from experts! InferAl was nice enough to put a threa a while back about installing the Chally axles and Getrag diff in his car:

I am certainly considering this before going with the DSS/Quaife route, mostly b/c of the big difference in price. Has anyone heard of any problems/issues/breakage etc... with the Chally axles??? or anything in general?

I want to do this same set-up myself next year sometime. The only thing I've read is the 6-speed guys breaking the axles at the track with some sticky tires and high rpm launches. Read some of this on LXF.

All the guys on LXF who snapped a getrag halfshaft had 3.93 gears and upped rpm's and dumped the clutch.

Do it trust me, InferAl is running 1.5 60's on the getrag and a converter, drags and has not snapped on yet.

We did the swap on my dads 300C, no problems yet. Great upgrade.

It's like anything else...if you shock the axles by dumping the clutch at high rpms with a sticky tire, I can see snapping one of the Getrag axles. With an auto and loading up the converter...I don't see it happening. I'll do it sometime next year or sooner, depending if I snap one of my stock halfshafts on the street.
