I have taken up tuning as a hobby ever since I bought HP Tuners for my TBSS.

I have made available my 2007 and 2008 TBSS tune and have a 2006 TBSS tune I am almost ready to release, in case anyone has a TBSS and HP Tuners. These tunes are free and are absolutely great. They do work with CAI and mods as well. Everyone who has run the tunes are very happy with them.

So if you have HP Tuners and want to try it, I'll post the links here for you. One person with CAI/e-fans, exhaust and UDP dynoed my 2007 TBSS tune and made 372 HP and 384 Tq (stock motor). Another 2007 TBSS with similar mods (nimus UDP) ran a 13.3 1/4 with the tune, but it's not the peak HP that really makes these tunes worth it, it's the bottom end torque that really impresses everyone. Makes it feel like you really have a torque motor, instead of a high rpm only motor (like most standard dyno tunes give).

I also have a 2006 Corvette LS2 auto tune and a 2001 Corvette Z06 tune available as well. They work just as good as the TBSS tunes. In fact, one person with the Corvette tune was running 12.5x in 1/4 and immediately after putting the tune in ran 12.2x 1/4's, just from changing the tune.

Now...if only HP Tuners would finish support for Dodge, I would have a few SRT tunes available as well...

Damn brudda! Sounds like you know what you're doing with those kinds of improvements. Whats the optimal A/F ratio for a lightly modded TBSS at WOT? Out of curiousity? Do you take these tunes to the edge...ie..Leaner is Meaner ?

The best afr is actually 12.3-12.4 and maybe slightly leaner at high RPM's, I was surprised to find that it was pretty much already common knowledge with the Texas people. Of course I did not tune for AFR, I tuned for torque while driving and that's about where I landed. I logged the highest calculated torque using the PCM pid for torque. These tunes have stock MAF/VE coefficients/tables, they were all closes enough on fuel trims to make all tuning for torque done with PE. I have been logging between 390-410 ft-lbs on mine, depending on weather and gas and such, when I calculate HP it's like 390 at around 5800 RPM. (of course this is calculated from the PCM's torque PID, not a real dyno).

The AFR though is not really where the most gains are made. It's low end timing, engine TM, charge temp filter changes and such. (There is not a whole lot of tables I haven't changed in the tunes).

If you were looking at the spreadsheet, one thing you would also notice is KR coming in and pulling out almost instantly. That's because I actually keep the sensors very sensitive and control KR by making KR recovery almost instant. My thought is you pull timing only when there is KR and then add it back as quick as possible. This differs from a lot of tuners who reduce sensor sensitivity to keep from pulling too much timing (personally, I think that is dangerous but if you have a noisey cam and headers, you may have to do that anyway).
