Freakin' thing is expensive! I haven't seen anyone saying much about it over at LXForums, so was wondering if any of the Jeep guys have had luck.

The only one that I have heard of working pretty good was on an 06. Again, that's what I've read and heard on other sites. Something about different strategies from 06 vs. 07's and up. It is pricey as balls though for sure!!! I'd LOVE to see some times before and after though. If I don't gain anything in 1/4 times, I ain't buying one!! If I go to a upgraded tranny..... then I belive it comes with the tranny now from IIRC.

I've heard the exact same thing. There are over 100 known parameters on the TCM and the 06 is currently easier to manipulate. With the list of modifications that can be done (as noted above) and depending on the vehicle and it's modifications, there should be no reason why someone couldn't gain 2-3 tenths. I was told the cam that that I'm running (HHP's Stage II) along with the upgraded valvetrain could benefit from winding out a wee bit more and dropping me deeper in the sweet spot upon shifts. I do like the trans preservancy facet of this TCM if it holds water. :racing:

Oh... I believe B&G can adjust 12 parameters in the TCM. There are something like 112. So, stand by. There are other options available soon.

Is Diablo ever going to make TCM tuning available to us...or is Dave at B&G the only one going to do this? I know DynoSteve is capable of doing TCM tuning also, but it appears he doesn't want to step on anyone's toes, sort of speak. I had this conversation with him while he was tuning my car a month or so ago.

Seems a lil bit pricy...not to sure on the reliability here...CMR tuning is becomming more and more popular though!

I know there are a few people that are happy with the B&G TCM but there are alot more unhappy people out there right now. One person in texas that I have been talking to is on his 3rd revision and it's still not right. Infact, it's worse then stock. There are THOUSANDS of variables in a calibration (GM T43 TCM actually has ~30,000 variables). Also remember that just because people have the ability to calibrate, doesn't mean they actually know what to do with the variables. Nothing against Dave but there are teams of people in the OEM's that handle tuning the trans and this is all they do. They don't do engine, they don't do OBD. Just trans. Based off what I have heard from the majority of people, I wouldn't be rushing out to get a B&G TCM just yet....
