What happens when you take your new .40 cal to your conceal and carry permit training....??? You get lots of dead paper at 25' with speed rounds...

Not too bad for the first time firing the weapon, but I think I need some more practice... :D
Yea!! There should be 1 hole that all 40 rounds pass through... No get back out there and practice mister!!

nice shooting Darrin. I was at the range this past Tuesday with my brothers (first time for the two of them), my middle bro who is lefty and has shitty eyesight was even better than me, he was firing 6/11 bullseyes with my .357 at 20yds WITHOUT the laser on.

Thanks Steve. I think I need a little more practice. Once I get my Minnesota permit, I will be applying for a NH permit. Those will cover most states.

i dont wanna hear that new weapon crap. if you were in a gunfight and had to pick up a downed enemies weapon, id expect you to still keyhole every single round all the way out to the 50! just kidding, nice grouping

You are 100% correct. A person should be able to pick up any weapon and "keyhole" every round. This wasn't actually an accuracy test. It was more of a test if you could shoot the weapon and could you even hit the paper in the time given. I was just being a show off by blasting through my rounds very quickly... :D

I'd like a gun. We have crazy strict handgun laws here.

That things beautiful. Out of curiosity (because I really have no clue at all), how much does that gun go for ballpark?

Well,,, it's composit like the Glock. It has a few more bells and wistles and shoots like a dream. (Okay, enough with the justification.) I paid $799 plus tax for the gun.
Of course then there is ammo, holster, CC courses and permit fees. Let's just say that it's a good $1,400 investment for the weapon and the ability to carry. Plus, a person may want to invest in a save depending on their situation.
The great thing about the MN permit is that I can carry in the following states: MN, MT, ID, UT, AZ, NM, SD, OK, AK, MO, AR, LA, MS, TN, KY, IN, VA, KS, MI, VT.
If I get a FL permit as well, I believe I can carry in I 32 states in total. I would have to double check.

Personally, I did a TON of research on the .45, .40 and the 9mm before I purchased. It's like the three bears, the .45 is too hot, the 9mm is too cold, but the .40 is just right. IMHO, I think I made a great choice between function, size and longjevity. It was my personal choice of the best of all worlds. :twocents:

It's your second amendment right as a US citizen. Great to exercise your rights as an American. IMHO. :D
