Took a video today, explaining my new problem. What could this be now?
Oh and it is throwing NO CODES.
What is weird is that the Jeep is shaking like a mofo when at a idle. There is no codes.
Also Look what I found today:
http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm183/crookster77789/Picture085-1.jpg
This is the where the right front tire is. Me thinks it is rubbing.
A few more things:
1.) I hear a LOUD pop when I turn off the A/C.
2.) When the a/c system is running, I hear a real high pitched whistle. I have no clue what this is.
3.) When I let the Jeep coast at a low speed, I hear squealing. (Note: I am not pressing the brakes, just letting the Jeep coast)
Can anyone help, so I can tell the service department what to look at, so I dont get the "could not replicate"?
Thanks
-Joe

Your tire is definately rubbing.
The squeeling your hearing is most likely the belt.
The issue with teh cutting off and surging could be anything from a faulty sensor to bad gas.
Are there any ODBII codes stored?

I thought it was bad gas, so I emptied it out. Fresh gas, same fucking shit. Oh and please dont say anything about sensors. I have had sensors replaced over 7 times and had a PCM replaced once.
This Jeep has been a fucking NIGHTMARE Tony. The GF doesnt want to ride in it. She calls it the death trap. You should have seen her reaction the other day when it cut off on me on the West Side Highway going 65 mph. She turned pale as a ghost and I had to carry her to her house from the Jeep. She got that scared bro.

+1 on the bad gas. If you are not throwing any codes, that's what I would vote for. Is your air cleaner clean? Just wondering. I personally would check all electrical connections and maybe even pull one of the O2 sensors to see that it looks like. You never know. It may be a good idea to pull a few plugs to see what they look like as well. Good luck.

Thanks Darrin. Yeah my Air filter is clean as a whistle (do you have to ask? :D I always keep everything clean. I got o.c.d.)

I would have bought it if I won the Mega Millions yesterday, but that plan went out the window. :cussing:
So now I got to wait till later this year or Jan 2010.

Bwhahahahaha. But seriously, I think it is electrical. I have gremlins inside my WK. Bro it has been one thing right after another. I had a ton of PCM reflashes, then they finally replaced the damn thing. Also had o2 sensors replaced. The tank that could be in question was emptied out and it was Exxon 89.

Joe, call Chrysler and tell them all the problems that you had on your Jeep and see if they can buy out your lease. This is out of hand, you've had more problems with your Jeep then I have with both my Jeep and my Lincoln put together........

Bad gas, misfiring, bad spark plugs/wire/connection, bad ECU/PCM, dirty fuel lines/pump, could be a number of things. I would check those first though. Get it scanned and if the codes arent stored, It's most likely a bad PCM/ECU

j/k Joe, that can't be... you know I raced my 5.7L for all the 3 years I had it and never had any of the electrical nightmares you've been having with the Overland. The only thing that went bad twice on my 5.7L was the tranny and never happened on the track, both times it failed I was on the highway just cruising.
hahahahaha, Now go and get that 09' MB SRT8I keep telling him to get rid of it already and get himself an SRT8. But I think he's on a mission to finish this lease till the end. Personally I just think he's putting himself and others in danger driving a vehicle like that that can cutoff like that for no reason, it has happened already and I think more than once so why keep taking chances... sorry Joe but I think you have a lemon in your hands. As a friend all I can tell you is to talk to your dad, explain the situation and have him talk to the dealer for them to take it back, if that fails look into the lemon law in NY.

He clearly has a good lemon case, I'm sure if they start printing his service report now it'll finish printing by tomorrow morning.
Joe seriously, try to get rid of it soon, even if you have to get into one of those smart cars until it's time to get the SRT8 do it. :ROTFLMAO:
And remember... when you get the SRT, silver is the fastest color
Good luck buddy!

Yeah bro. I spoke with my father and he said that definatley Monday he will talk to the dealer. He is quite pissed at the moment at this Jeep. But Mario, I fell in love with a new color today. I saw a Modern Blue 09 SRT8 at the RT-22 Jeep dealership today. I pulled over and looked at it. OMFG bro it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gorgeous. Me thinks I will get that color. :D

Good luck to you and your dad on Monday at the dealer, tell him to tell them he doesn't want the Overland fix, that he wants out of the lease NOW because is putting himself his family and others in danger. You guys have the service history of that jeep so it would be stupid for the dealer to gamble with your safety. They can definitely get you out of it without you having to pay up what's left on the lease. Whatever is left on the lease the dealer should credit it towards the next vehicle (SRT8 maybe?).

It was an 09. It was so nice. Yeah bro, Monday we are going to go to the dealer and call Chrysler. We'll see what will happen. I hope it is good news.

He does have a point. It does sound like a lemon. I would get a lawyer and force the $tealership to take that pile back and give you a car of your choice or get the pants sued off of them. Now's the time to play hardball.

Where is the loud pop coming from? I hope that's no like an electrical pop. The surging also sounds like it could be electrical...have you checked your voltage. It could also be the fuel pump.

The pop is coming from the dash, when I turn off the A/C system. Already had the fuel pump replaced Milan. :coffeetime:

First off, its a lease and you're going to the dealer anyway I wouldn't spend too much of your own time on fixing any of this stuff.
Yes, your tire is rubbing there. Do you have aftermarket wheels? If so, the offset may be too close.
1, 2, and 3 all appear to be A/C related. My first thing to check would be your A/C compressor. The squeal when slowing down is the belt dragging on a pulley. If the whistle you mention is in the engine compartment, I'd bet its the compressor struggling. The loud pop could be a lot of things a capacitor, a relay, the blend door slamming shut, etc.

No aftermarket wheels. Thanks for that advice bro.
