So I installed my new Stop Tech pads. Which for anyone that hasn't tried to do your brakes it takes about a 1/2 hr to do the fronts. The most time spent is taking the wheels on/off. Also to note, I have around 15k miles on my Jeep and I am on my 5th set of pads. Love me some road courses.

So I go to my usual bedding area, a little industrial park and the first thing I notice is that when doing my 60-10 mph stops, I am coming to a stop way before my stop sign. I do my 6 runs and every time I am stopping well before the stop sign. The Hawk HPS pads that I had on before, would get me to the stop sign. I never liked them or the feel and so far I am liking the Stop Tech pads and will continue to post on these pads.

Hmm, stop techs eh? Are these new for the Jeeps or have they been out for a bit? A they a true street pad as well? I'm going to be installing my Satisfied Pros soon enough because I heard they're a great balance b/w performance and dust.

I would think they are about as old as they would be for the Lx's. Usually the same part number at least that is what EBC does for the Jeeps. Here is the description....StopTech Street Performance brake pads are StopTech's newest formulation, offering an unusual combination of high bite, low noise, and extremely wide temperature range, making them ideal as "dual use" street to medium track pads. These are the standard brake pads for StopTech's big brake upgrades and have recently become available for many OEM applications. These are Zeckhausen Racing's new preferred high performance street pads.

Dust doesn't bother me too much but I don't have to drive my Jeep every day. Will post back after I get some miles on them.
