Well after destroying my trans. I have had time to install a trans cooler. So my rough in is complete. I only fabricated 2 pieces and that was the sheet metal I used for mounting the cooler. All parts were purchased from Summit Racing and Home Depot.

2- DER-13032 3/8 compression x 3/8 barbed($11.95ea)

1- SUM-220701 -6an Female Straight to barbed($3.95
1- SUM-220711 -6an Female 90 to barbed($9.95)
Home Depot
4- 3/8-5/8 hose clamps
10ft 3/4 galvanized strut only need 27 inches($14.xx)
2- 1/4 strut nuts
2-1/4 x 1 bolts
Fabbed
2- 1" x 5" sheet metal
8- 1/4 tek screws

I just need to buy some paint and do the final install. Here are the pics.

Yeah, I tow too. Beats paying for a new trans which I am doing right now. Not saying that heat was the reason it went but at least the new one will have some back up.

Looks good Chad. I started a cooler like that but never ran or tested it. Are you going to black anodize it???

I've spent enough money replacing the trans and everything else that comes with it. My Jeep is not a show car.

Nice clean install Chad. A very high percentage of trans failures are due to heat. A higher stall or things like towing demand an additional cooler and I put mine off for a couple years and then in May I had a B&M installed and it does a pretty good job of cooling it according to my DashHawk. I can't remember the exact temp drops but they were significant. I don't road race so I didn't go with a beefier unit then the one I picked up from HHP.

I know about the heat. We have a trans over temp alert on the EVIC and I didn't get that til after my trans died(stopped pumping). I destroyed the 2-3 but I also broke things that haven't been broken in a trans before. I also am getting a new input shaft and planetary gears.

Cool that the B&M reduced the temps that means mine should help out even more, plus I have room next to it if I need to add another one.

I would help out but you are way too far. I have a couple more pics in the daylight.
