Viperkiller04 and I went to the drag strip last night so he could try out his bone stock c6. I tried to get srt8bby to go also but he wasn't available. It was a beautiful night with temp hovering in the 73-76* range. I was hoping to keep my car under 13.50's since my car is mostly stock with a cai and cat back and I added the heavier (almost 10lbs each:eek:)c6 wheels. I only ran 4 times but every time was against Brandon and his c6. I was pleasantly surprised with my results.
1st run: clutch slipped very bad. bogged out of the hole then on the shift to second my car held 5k rpms for a good 2 seconds after engaging the clutch.

2nd run: bogged out of the hole but the clutch actually held up somehow and chirped 2nd gear.

Satisfied with staying well below my guesstimated 13.50 and taking my clutch into consideration I was ready to let the car cool down for a while and maybe get one more run in before we left. Brandon wanted to run again though so I decided what the hell. I went ahead and lined up with him again.
3rd run: Hooked a little better out of the hole and clutch held fine.

I was extremely happy with this run. We let our cars cool for a while and we went for another pass. I decided this would be my last pass. Brandon ended up running 1 more because he missed 3rd gear on this pass.
4th run: spun a tad on the launch. Clutch ok

That was my best and final pass of the night. I am very pleased with the results. I definitely came home with a smile on my face. While I still consider 12's slow I just didn't think my car could get into them with so little done and the extra rolling mass added. I don't have Brandon's time slip in his c6 but I beat him every run and I think his best of the night was a 13.03 or something like that. We both trapped in the 111mph range though. I just beat him off the tree. :racing::thumbsup:
