I saw this new product on LXF and it seems rather interesting. I've dealt with this dude before when I bought my Coolit Fan Mod and it still works awesome at the track. I can basically turn my fans on and off anytime I need to and leave them on if need be. Anyways, interesting unit so I decided to copy his post here with the scoop:

Member: NOESP stated,

Some of you remember me as the guy that brought you the NoESP mod, the Coolit automatic fan controller, and the original Shifthammer electronics module. I've been quiet for a while now (due to a new baby that's now 2), but I finally got some time to finish a shift kit project I started two years ago. It's not the "silver box" - it's quite different.

Back in late 2008, I followed this thread: http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17590&page=8 and started driving around with an oscilloscope to really measure what the TCM sent to the transmission to control shift strength. I set out to make the ultimate electonic NAG1 shift kit, and now I believe that I have.

The "tranZformer" brings you a number of features available in no other solution:

-you get to set the boost level for accelerating shifts and decelerating shifts independently - so you can have super hard tire-barking upshifts, and stock or soft downshifts, or dial it in however you want. 0 to 100% in 1% increments give you ultimate control.

- you get to set shift strengths for drive and Auto-stick modes independently. Keep it mild in drive, aggressive in Auto-stick - again, your choice.

-it monitors the CAN bus, so it knows what's going on - it monitors shifter status, accelerator and brake pedals, engine RPMs, and more. It won't mess with shift or line pressures when you're in park, reverse, or neutral. I took every precaution not to stress the transmission.

-It's updatable via USB. Right now it has preset levels for shift strengths in drive and Auto-stick modes, and these can be changed via Hyperterminal. I'm working on a windows utility to make this easier (this will be ready when the final product is complete). With it updatable, I can easily make changes or add features as they're requested. I have a CAN bus capture utility built-in so I can see what's going on in your car if there are any issues, or to aid in adding features.

-It can be enabled or disabled at any time by pressing the ESP button twice. The tranZformer will lower your radio volume 2 notches if it disabled, or raise it 2 notches when you enable it.

-I have complete control of modulating shift and line pressures independently, via two PWM outputs. TranZformer never pushes the line pressure (modulating pressure as called in the DCX docs) above what your TCM demands at WOT stock. The TCM lowers shift pressure during shifts, and the tranZformer counterracts this, resulting in stronger, shorter shifts at safe line pressures.

I have noticeable improvements in WOT shifts, too. My car barks the tires every time on 1-2 shifts, from 1/4 throttle to full throttle. It would never have done this before. The car is now a blast to drive. My car is essentilly stock with a Predator canned tune.

-Additional feature: Steering wheel button shifting as an option. Here's how it works: If the radio is on, and you've used the console shifter to put it in Auto-stick, then the volume up and down buttons will control upshifts and downshifts. The radio volume changes too, but the tranZformer sends a command to counteract the volume change so you won't even notice. If the radio is off, then both volume and page up/down buttons control shifts, regardless of whether you're in Auto-stick mode. It makes for a great road course driving experience.

-Installation is easy. 2 wires to the TCM, 2 to the CAN bus (on HVAC controls harness) 2 for power/ground and 2 for the console shifter if you want steering wheel shifting. All wires connect via t-taps - nothing gets cut. It's completeley hidden behind the radio bezel. No knobs, switches or anything to see. It takes all of maybe 20 minutes to install.

Right now I have 2 built, with parts for another 18. It'll be about 8-10 weeks until my custom enclosures are ready. I'm looking for anyone interested in buying a tranZformer at reduced cost (since they won't have the plastic enclosure and they're beta testers).
The tranZformer without steering wheel shifting (SWS) will sell for $279. With SWS $299
There will be a SWS only version for those that don't want the shift kit function for $249
The 18 beta units are available for $200 - 2005 to 2007 only, as I haven't tried it in a 2008+ with the faster CAN bus yet, but the code is written.
Check out my new website, but the tranZformer and Cool It II are not available for order yet. NoESP orders can be placed from the new site.
I can have the beta units ready to ship in about 2 weeks. If you're interested, email me at burnrubber@zautotech.com.

Modding the electronics really is the way to get a lot more performance out of these cars. If I knew more about electronics and computers, that is where I would have started.

Just like the new Mopar 6.1 TCM that just came out...I'm waiting until these hit the streets to see how well they work and if its worth the money or not. I do like the sounds of this new electronic shift kit though as you can have stock shifts in drive and killer shifts in autostick. Plus, you can leave the downshifts normal and have the hard upshifts. That's perfect if it really works!

You should be able to shift at 6600 with the new Mopar TCM.
