hey 'c' have you thought of putting blue painters tape on the wheel well outside ,to keep the rubber from damaging the paint ,or are the wheels tucked inside there ??

Mike, I plan to do that next outing. The drag tires are like fly paper and they pick up alot of pebbles. I am more concerned about pebbles hitting the rear fender.
Here is some shots of the setup. I used C5 Z06 rims MT 305/35/18 E street Drags with a 1/4 inch billet aluminum spacer to clear the shock perch and the Ebrake line. I zip tie the Ebrake to make sure there is adequate clearance.

Awesome run Curtis! If you get a higher stall and come off the line alot harder...you'll see mid 10's no problem! Converter should be your next mod.

I can't afford the full car right now and I doubt it would be worth your time to do the fenders only.

Steve, I know man but I am really afraid to have that done. It is running good and I am afraid the tranny or diff is gonna blow. I was thinking of doing that if one goes.

thanks man. I am really digging this beast and love to drive it everyday.

Hey Clove, one of the things you can get done if you do decide to do a higher stall is go with an auxiliary trans cooler. I had a B&M unit installed over the summer and I've been seeing a significant drop in trans temps ever since. I can't remember the exact number since it was a few months back but it was a straightforward install and some cheap insurance. They say 90% of all trans failures are heat related but also consider this...you don't really road race (or at least yet) and that car was designed to run corners on the track often at high rpms. I believe the trans goes through more hell on these tracks than on the strip.

... Give me a ride (a GOOD ride), I'll do your inner wheel wells free of charge... Can't argue with the economics on that one. The offer is out there. Just saying.

True Milan. Trust me I have researched all this stuff. I am not aware of anyone yet toasting a tranny or diff but i have one of the higher hp caddys (thats no spray).
More concerned about stress from the hp and DRs. Right now i am very happy, just waiting for some better air in the next few weeks. The setup is working great and i want to get consistant passes then go to the next level.
