BJB's Ballistic Build by RDP (BDCARMA)

With the bad Karma on the old thread I decided to close it and start a new one. Seeing this build will have a new look, why not. Moving forward, right? Well the Jeep is back on a lift at RDP in Painseville today. The interior was removed and the chemical residue was cleaned up from the fire extinguisher residue. Once the transmission is inspected tomorrow it will be time to get it removed. I imagine a big garbage container could be positioned below the Jeep, unbolt it and let it fall in. There is not much left. I will try to get some pictures posted as we move forward with this. :pics: yea, yea, I know. Thread is nothing without pictures!! But is is day one of the new build :Scottwax1:

Brian you are one lucky mofo, could have ended up worse. That being said take this loss and build something even greater. I say a Black exterior with a full red interior. Red leather headliner, the works. Elvis style. :D

Are you going to stick with a GM trans or get a Chrysler one? Did you see what AJ posted about a Chrysler trans?

No, this build will be the 2wd one. We plan on using a Torqueflight.

I had Cope Racing do mine, but I haven't even installed it yet in my '70.

If your doing a 3spd this is what you want, short tail, 300m or mirage shaft and it MUST have a LOW BAND APPLY transbrake valvebody. There are only 2 companies out there that really make the right stuff and they don't have websites. Let me know If I can help.

No adaptor is necessary. I take the factory case, cut the bell-housing off then install an SFI bellhousing. The tail in the picture is the factory casting. It is taken, then shortened, a roller bearing is installed for support. I will take pictures tomarrow so you can see everything. Mine has aluminum drums, straight cut planetaries with a 2.23 1st gear. I can build you anything you want. If you look at my web album I have the same trans in that 1 willies with the Aluminum Hemi. He kills it daily and that thing make over 1400 lb/ft torque. It does really awsome DIRECT gear burnouts. He drops it into 3 at a dead stop and just gives it 1/4 throttle fast and it does instant 130 mph burnouts LOL. Its SICK!!! Happy to say I tuned it and wired it :)
