I have two questions;

1) What type of gas mileage do you guys get with your SS? (can you note if you have a 2WD or a AWD model)

2) For AWD guys only. How well does your car handle in the snow?

2wd/heavy foot/minimal highway = 12.6 MPG.

My truck doesn't no what snow is. We don't get a lot of that here. Sorry.

Dude...the first question is completely wrong. If gas mileage is a concern- there are other practical choices. The GSRT8 does pretty damn good in the snow, I imagine the SS is the same.

HAHA^^^ alright bro, it just crack me up when people are trying to get good mileage out of these thing. A 5000lb fridge with some power is gonna burn fuel, thats the way it is. We suddenly had a bunch of cats selling their GSRT8's in the summer cause of gas prices- I just kept thinking what were you expecting?

Well good gas mileage for some is bad for others just like some Honda owners say that I get bad mileage lol.

EPA 12/16 sounds good to me :D

Get a Jeep SRT8 and be HAPPY with 10-11 MPG around town, and 15-17 on the Highway...

AWD heavy foot: 13.5 city, 17.5 HWY (tuned only). Stock tune was 11 city 16 hwy.

Never been in snow, but a few hurricanes and it does really freaking good in water. You don't even have to think about spin on wet roads taking off, it just goes.

That comment based on the difference in price of car vs cost of gas makes no sense.

Cost of a used 08 with low miles is alot lower then a loaded brand new TBSS...and youll get more looks in the Jeep IMO...also, price of gas has gone back down if you havent noticed...$2.19 for super by me!

I bought my TBSS new, before the price drops. It's loaded, all the goodies and AWD and I paid $36.5K. At the time, the GCSRT was $42.6K and the dealer wanted $48K for me to buy it. If the prices are that much differnt now, the GCSRT would be a great deal.

BTW: I filled up with 93 today at $1.69/gal here in Jax.

I'm 2wd with a heavy foot and I c 14.1 mpg with tune, cutout and CAI but I've got up to 17 doin 55 everywhere drivin like a pawpaw. It drove me crazy not bein able to get on it a lil so that's probably the last time I c 17.

I pull a 6k lb 30' camper and I get bout 9.8 mpg. Yuck!
