Well, as some of you may know, we went skiing in Vt. for a week and we had a blast!! My 5 and 4 year old are now ski bums. Skiing kinda sucked at first due to 51* weather and 40-50mph winds when we first got there to melt 1.2 the snow there. They ended up getting 8" the next day and plenty more while we were there including another 8" the night before we left which made it for a long drive back form VT. to Boston. Well, we were at the Boston airport on Sunday, when our flight from Boston to Chicago was cancelled due to weather and AA said the earliest we they can get us out of there was on the 25th!!! WTF?!?! My wife told our kids and my 5 year old asked if Santa would still deliver them presents if we weren't home! That killed me! So...... it was up to my wife and I to get us home for the holidays! This was turning into a movie now!! They said we could drive to Providence, RI. and take a US Air flight for $1000 but that wasn't guarantee'd due to weather either. So we said F it and we were going to rent a car and drive home to Florida from Boston. We got back to Alamo and try to get our Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4 back but they were out of all cars....... great! So we go to Heartz..... the only thing they had for us was a Honda Oddy. Van. Not the best thing for a nasty winter storm to be driving. Wanted a 4x4 or AWD but oh well, it's a vehicle. We start driving. We're driving 25-45 on 95S going home. We call AA and ask them if there's anything at any other airportd further south. There's a flight from DC to Miami and then to JAcksonville slying out at 5pm on Monday. We say we'll take it!! So we drive till 1:30am and finally stay 30 miles north of DC for the night. We had some time to kill on Monday so we go to the Mall and go to the Smithsonian Natural History and then the Air and Space Museum and get out of there a little late. We forget to fill the van up with gas!!!! Heartz charges $8.50/gallon if you forget to fill it up!!! WTF!?!?!?! I ask the guy if we can leave to go fill it up. I tell him our story..... he says he'll hook us up. It's $198.00/day for the van and we end up paying $168.0 total for 1 1/2 days. I give the guy a $10.00 bill for hooking us up then I see my receipt. Totally took care of us. Not only did he say we returned it filled, he knocked off the extra 1/2 day and the kids seats. Our bill went from $498.00 total for 2 days, to $168.00 for 1 1/2. What a cool dude! We had Priority Access Tickets for AA. We get into the airport and the line is about 1 1/2 long...... HOLY CHIT!!! Well, after a few minutes, I tell my wife to hold on a second. I walk around the corner and see the First Class/Priority Acess line. It has 5 people in it. BOOM..... we're hooked up again! Everything is coming full circle!! We finally get on the plane.... we have this little girl in front of us that was CRYING THE WHOLE FREAKING WAY TO MIAMI!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! That's all I needed! Luckily the flight from Miami to Jacksonville was great. We got home this morning at 1am. and I've never been happier to be home. I went and played golf this afternoon and shot a 77 with double bogies on 1 and 10 and bogeying the last 2 holes. All in all....... what a crazy/fun week!! Glad to be home for Christmas!!

Yeah it's kinda fun. It'll be real fun when my 2 year old goes to school next year!! :cloud9: Then I'll have my whole day to myself. That is if the wife goes back to work. It's not bad now with her being here b/c I don't have all the chores. All I do really is take the older 2 to and from school and hang out with my 2 year old when my wife needs to do some shopping. Other than that, I'm on the golf course or doing something to the Jeep, or dealing with my tenants.:cussing:
