i was born with holey shoes and holey shirts and pants, played in the dirt and couldn't be happier, played the fiddle my entire child hood and had up until it was stolen many many years ago, had an uncle that owned a shrimp boat and i grew up working on it, this same uncle ran a FAMILY band that my brother and i played in

My uncle and i playing twin fiddles, my brother bass, another uncle on lead and vocals, my brothers friend on drums and a family friend on rythme....never more fun in all my life....my family was/is/are PLAIN WHITE TRASH in most peoples eyes and i could give to shits about what people think, we were/are and will always be some of the FIRST IN LINE to fight for those that wish to hide us, shut us up and all together forget us....my people are the ones in the ditch, working hard eveyday of their lives, that is where i come from, who i am and who i identify with....

i think REDNECK (COUNTRY) is an ATTITUDE....putting others in front of yourself is a fairly common simple country way, and if you can grow up in metropolitan inner city and be as COUNTRY/REDNECK as my bride is then it can happen any where in this country....

my bride grew up in the heart of old east dallas and is as COUNTRY/REDNECK as you have ever met....

me personally i don't see it as north south or east west.....COUNTRY/REDNECK is everywhere you go, my job takes me all over the world and there is COUNTRY/REDNECK everywhere i have been....

it is the ATTITUDE for SIMPLER things in life and the ONLY EXPECTATION for life is HAPPINESS and the COUNTRY/REDNECK ATTITUDE MAKES ITS OWN HAPPINESS.......
