It pains me to ask this as a Mopar guy...but I bought a Ford 8.8 rear for my next project and now need to beef it up.
It will be behind a heads/cam 6.1L HEMI and 518 4-speed auto in a 2800 pound car. The engine will make roughly 500HP/500 ft lbs at the crank. I definitely want a limited slip, but I don't know which ones are stout enough.
My current thinking is an Eaton Detroit Truetrac, 31 spline, with Moser or Strange heavy duty 31 spline axles. Anything better that I should be looking at? Are C-clip eliminators a must have for mostly street car with the weekend trip to the track?
