when i was an FI for DOS, one of my coworkers was a former fn armorer, so of course our agency got everything first, including the scar. they make some solid gear, all shooter oriented.

Hahaha, I haven't finger fucked the 5.7 yet. I've read about them but no one I know has one. I'm kinda iffy on new cartridges when they first come out into the main stream to see if they'll have manufacturer support.

Deb, I've got a couple 40's, the Glock 27 being my primary every day carry. This is my first FN (off active duty) so I'll give it a good work out when I get back from vacation and see how it holds up.

Markus, I can see a SCAR Heavy in my future...

I'm the same way about new cartridges, look how promising the 10mm was. I was even reluctant to buy my 40. Here we're talking about a pistol with effective ranges in the HUNDREDS of yards, a higher magazine capacity than any other, and a round that can punch through level 3 soft armor (you never know).

Yeah, I was going to mention the 10mm specifically or the 45GAP or look at the 300 BLK that was supposed to be the hottest thing since sliced bread. But despite ammo companies promises to offer commercial ammo in these calibers they haven't delivered. I don't like having a gun where buying ammo is going to cost an arm and a leg, it's bad enough common calibers have nearly doubled in price over the last 5 or 6 years. I've got the receipts to prove it. lol

in the end, the answer is simple: reload. i need to sack up and get a baller press.

I just began reloading, started with 5.56. I picked up a Hornady single stage press back in Sept. I just shot 60 test rounds last week. I need a couple tweaks and a case trimmer and I'll start pumping out rounds.
