So... Got pulled over tonight.

Well... I installed the new muffler today and it's bit quieter but still loud as hell.

Left a little car meet around 10 tonight and made it over to my city by about 10:40 without a problem.

As soon as I crossed into my town, I look in the rearview and I'm being tailed by a cop. Just my luck.

So, he follows me for a bit and then I see the dreaded blue lights. "Yay! I'm getting another ticket!" was the first thing that went through my head.

Anyway, long story short, the officer was nice enough to inform me that my exhaust is still too loud and my window tint is illegal (12%). :tantrum1:

So... Back to the drawing board with the exhaust. Anyone want to trade a brand new Spin Tech Pro Shootout muffler for something quieter?

dude, why dont you just get it written off by a cop you know. also, driving around in a higher gear will take the noise down a few notches. i got away with just lth and hollowed cats for years with my 02 ss......and i live in california.

I didn't get a ticket, I was able to talk myself out of it. Told him I was doing "research & development" with the exhaust. :ROTFLMAO:

So what's legally allowed in GA as far as exhaust goes? I assuming your alllowed to install aftermarket exhausts on your car right? If so, then there's gotta be something that flows really well that isn't loud as hell.

contrary to popular belief, there are cool cops in every town, city, etc. i would go to your local track and see if you can find a leo that races his ride. find out by asking around. just tell the local folks that you have a ticket that needs to be corrected.

There's no decibel limit in GA. It's all based on the officer's opinion.

Got a factory f-body catback that I'll be putting on tomorrow along with some cutouts. Also gonna redo the tint sometime this week. Hopefully that gets the cops off my ass.
