Hey guys,
Well, on Thursday I received the Diablosport Handheld tuner from a member on the red site and installed the Perf 93 OCT CAI tune. Well, let me tell you, this mod is DEF. worth the money; engine feels stronger across the ENTIRE RPM range now, tranny shifts are more crisp/firmer, and at WOT, the shifts are night and day compared to stock. I also noticed that at highway cruising speeds before the tune at around 60 or so the engine would rev along at 3-3500 and create drone at times. Wel, after the tune, I noticed the revs are down around the 2-2500 RPM range which is awesome...and my MPG have gone up by 3...That being said, if your on the fence about getting the Diablosport predator tuner, DO IT!..You wond be dissapointed.
P.S. Before yall jump on me and tell me to get a Custom CMR tune, I plan on doing this- Aj (Hemituner) will be the one to do this, after I decide on which exhaust system to go with!

Ya...I was torn between getting the Jeep or the Charger, but the Charger won out in the end. The Jeep just didn't have the rear seat room I was looking for with 2 child seats. I do wish I had the AWD though! Too bad Dodge didn't make an AWD Charger SRT8 with the ability to run 2-wheel drive so you can do some nasty burnouts if you want to.

You dont think the Jeep has enough rear seat room??...I haul my buddies around all the time and they never complain about the rear seat...but, I guess with child seats they take up more room; Ya, I was stuck between the charger SRT and the Jeep myself...went with the jeep since its my DD and with the snow in NY, AWD is def. needed; if I went with the Charger it would just sitnspin...

About damn time. I'm sure you'll be just as happy with the CMR tune as soon as you get it from AJ. :D FWIW, I don't have an AJ tune, but any CMR should be better than the canned tunes. :D

There's alittle more room between the front and rear seats in the LX cars compared to the Jeep. Also the Jeep is harder to get into than the LX's. My son is handicapped so that played a part in me getting the Charger also. I do agree with you about driving a LX car in the snow!!! You should try it with a heavily modified car with a 2800 stall!!! Sit-n-spin baby!!!!!!! Actually as long as you can barely give it any gas its not too bad.

Honestly Milan...its only snowed like twice since I've had the car. I think I've only driven in like 1 or 2 inches of the nasty stuff and that was before my H/C/I and stall. I'd bet it would be a nightmare driving in a few inches now though with the new mods and higher stall. Thankfully that hasn't happened yet!!!!:D

Gotcha...never sat in the back of the Charger but I understand what your saying...Ya, as long as you dont give it gas and let it crawl youll be ok lol...thats no fun though...must be nervewracking to drvie a car like that!!

WHat gas station are you using Vinny? Try Sunoco, it's one of the best according to DiabloSport's testing. It's all I use. That pinging could be knock and if it is, that's not good for your engine at ALL! You need to get that check out ASAP and if I were you, I'd sign up to Diablo's forum and pose that question to the experts or even post it here. Our resident expert Wilson may be able to help you out if time permits. He's our Tech & Tune Moderator and I'm sure he can give you waaaay more vaulable information on this. PMing him may be a good idea as well.

I'd post the issue in our Tech & Tune forum here as well. Wilson may be able to offer you some advice. Continue to use the 91 octane tune since there's no pinging involved. You may want to do some datalogging to determine how much knock you're actually getting under all driving conditions but it may be hard with this weather lately.

We dont have Sunoco here in the midwest. I got Mobil, Citgo, BP, and Speedway (JUNK) I try to stick to BP or Mobil, Citgo if it's a last resort!

Ryan-enjoy your "new" toy. I ran the 91 CAI tune for a bit and then tried the 93CAI tune as well. I thought the 91CAI tune was stronger. I use 93 Octane from Mobile. There is a difference between the stock tune and "canned" tune BUT a night and day difference when you go CMR. Kinda like the diff between stock and canned-its that big. I also did the JET 180 tstat and fan settings. Have had zero issues with it. BTW- i also have a locking rad cap too. It was easy to get the excess air out of the system after doing the tstat. ENJOY.......I just can't get good gas mileage cuz I'm always jumpin' on it :D

I gotcha buddy...Im just nervous about doint the Tstat...I had it but I started to get spray and went back to the stop setup no issues...Maybe after the tune it will not create spray...You run 93 OCT with a 91 CAI tune?...is that safe?

I hear ya-I did the tstat at the time of the CMR tune with the custom fan settings. I've driven her hard and have had zero spray-I guess I'm lucky. I didn't have an A/F meter so I'm not sure if it was  kinda like Vinny- I thought I heard some pinging with the 93 CAI tune so I went back with the 91. With the CMR-no issues. I have a MHP tune from Andy. Never thought of doing the tstat, BUT I just went off Andy's advice and he hasn't steered me wrong yet.
